Having once been a Church of England member, I know that there are variations and that some congregations are more conservative/evangelical than others. But the “Archbishop” of Canterbury has come up with this little gem:
“In private correspondence, seen by the Daily Telegraph, Dr Rowan Williams, refutes the Anglican Communion’s traditional teaching that homosexuality is sinful.”
How about comparing gay relationships to Scripture, “Archbishop”?
Genesis 2:24 – “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”
Matthew 19:5 – “And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?”
Notice the words MAN and WIFE!
I dread to think what the CofE will come up with next…
