About

I’m a Christian with who now believes in the Doctrines of Grace. I was raised in the C of E and abandoned that as soon I was old enough not to get licks for it from my Mum, LOL

I began to drift toward agnosticism but had no interest for religion… Like many, I spent my time partying, drinking and basically wasting my life. Fast forward to ten years ago, I was born again, glory to God! I was a member of a pentecostal congregation for a long time but after several niggling doubts about their doctrine and practices I’ve left that behind and now worship at a non denominational church and love to learn and talk about theology. I’ve a lot to learn and unlearn!

As for my user name – I have natural hair, which many other black women I know don’t have. I’ve forgone the perm for 11 years and now see the beauty in the hair that the Lord intended for me :) I’ve used the online nicknames “NaturalSystah” and “Daughter” for a number of years now and I couldn’t think of anything else…

So here you’ll see some of my thoughts, questions, ramblings and maybe even rants! Welcome, have a nice cup of tea and comment!

What a blessing to see others in the UK who hold to the Doctrines of Grace, and to think you actually love to learn and talk about theology. I pastored two churches in the UK and did not find this to be the case with more than a handful. Even sadder than the few who would talk about the Lord and His Word was the fact that even few of those actually were willing to live it.

My wife and I both blog here if you are interested – http://www.thedesertpastor.wordpress.com and http://www.desertpastorswife.wordpress.com

Thanks for the welcome and yes, still enjoy my cups of tea!

    Hi Olan!

Thank you for visiting, I saw your post on Steve Camp’s blog and it really got me thinking. Knowing the truth of God should leave no room for unkindness or arrogance.

Doug – LOL!!! Yep another Londoner here :) Thanks for visiting, I just reached your “Silly Sheeples” blog recently and I like what I’m reading so far!

Wow it’s so great to see another sister in Christ! I linked to your blog from Jean’s blog, “The Virtuous Woman” because I saw the name “naturalsysta” in a response to her Facebook post. (I’m transitioning to natural now :-) I was shocked to see we have some of the same websites and reformed theological views :) Very encouraging. Grace and peace sis

Hi Kiara P! Sorry for the delay in responding. It’s always a blessing to find another Christian online, let alone reformed and even natural (or transitioning!)

      Take care :)

    Hi sister in Christ,

I saw your name in a comment on defending contending and followed to your blog. I am also a natural sista, lol, so that caught my eye. But even more importantly, I see that we have a love for theology and learning more about the God that we serve. It is wonderful to read the blogs of other faithful followers of Christ in diverse places (I’m in midwestern America). My blog is still pretty basic, but I hope to post more regularly soon. Anyway, love your site so far and will be adding you to my list. Maybe we can discuss the Word togther sometime.

    TJ
