I grew up listening and dancing to a lot of Michael Jackson and Jackson 5 music. Loved the videos, like much of the world did.
I felt sad when hearing of his death, and sadness for what his life had become. I shed a tear watching the memorial programme this evening (apart from of the ecumenism and worship of MJ), I can appreciate that those people lost a brother, friend, son, father.
This sobering video below though, puts it all into perspective for me: the king of pop must now bow to the King of kings.:
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment;” – Hebrews 9:27

Hello. Many persons who knew Michael Jackson on a more personal level
speak of years of Michael Jackson’s christian journey! There is even video
footage of a live interview in 1996 where Micheal speaks openly and even
wtih authority about Jesus, the bible, the apostles, and how he believed in
following Christ! The King of Pop BOWED to the King of Kings YEARS before
dying! He is in heaven with the Savior! Michael was also meek and gentle and humble like God wants all of us to be! God bless you!

I am so glad that you broght up the point about how at funerals preachers tend to put the deceased in heaven…I have been to funerals of the most vile, and still, preachers will bring up the good things that they did even 10 years ago to deem them a place in heaven. My grandfather was one of them. He molested most of his grandchildren and at his funeral the priest mentioned that in my grandfathers younger years, he painted gravestones and took care of the graveyard by the church, goodness sakes, if that is all it takes, lets go paint some headstones!!
